Creative Work
Generative AI
I use AI as a creative tool, not a replacement for creative direction. I use ChatGPT, Grok, Adobe Firefly, Claude, Meta AI, and Gemini. I use generative AI to explore concepts, develop supplemental imagery, and expand creative possibilities while maintaining human direction, editing, and design judgment.

Generative AI
Creative Technology, Visual Development & Marketing
Challenge
Sundae's needed engaging product imagery for marketing and social media, but traditional product photography was not always practical for every concept or promotional idea.
I explored generative AI as a creative tool for developing supplemental product imagery while maintaining the visual direction of the brand.
Approach
I treated generative AI as part of the creative process rather than a replacement for creative direction. I developed prompts around the desired product, environment, composition, lighting, and overall visual style, then evaluated and refined the results.
The goal was not simply to generate an attractive image, but to create imagery that could serve a specific marketing purpose.
Process
I experimented with prompts, compositions, backgrounds, lighting, product presentation, and visual treatments. Generated imagery was evaluated and refined before being incorporated into marketing concepts.
I also considered how AI-generated imagery could be combined with traditional design, typography, branding, and other visual assets.
Final
The resulting images provided additional creative options for social media and promotional content, particularly for ice cream and beverage products.
What I Learned
Working with generative AI taught me that the quality of the output depends heavily on the quality of the creative direction behind it.
It also reinforced my belief that emerging technology is most useful when paired with human judgment, editing, design principles, and a clear communication goal.
